The Dark Symposium with Falmouth Univeristy
As part of ongoing work at Falmouth University to support the tourism and creative sector across Cornwall, they will be running the first of what we hope will be a series of events focused on different aspects of Cornwall’s rich and diverse history. There is an institutional wide interest in the notion of dark stories, dark tourism and dark histories and we have combined this expertise to bring you an event that will be both thought provoking and informative. Keynote speakers will discuss the role of storytelling in tourism and business as well as in building social and cultural capital across the county, presenting ideas harnessing offseason tourists and giving an insight into the types of dark stories and places that exist in Cornwall.
The event, which is being hosted by Bodmin Jail, is free and you can register your free place though Eventbrite here.
